In Afghanistan, Shamsul worked for American IT companies for years. Facing death threats, he was forced to flee his country in the months before the fall of Ashraf Ghani's government. After crossing the Polish-Belarusian border, he made it to Warsaw, where he found an apartment with the help of volunteers. He dreams of bringing his wife and four children safely to Warsaw.
