Broken bridges, flooded houses and streets are the results of the floods in southern Poland. In some locations the scale of the damage is enormous, and support for the inhabitants will be needed long after the water has receded. We are getting help where it is needed most.
When an armed conflict breaks out or a natural disaster strikes, the local community is not always able to react to the crisis on its own. State authorities do not have sufficient funds, and the people afflicted by disaster suddenly lose their possessions and are deprived of access to safe drinking water and other resources that they might find useful in a crisis.
