The objective of this project is to provide durable and life-saving support to the residents of Hays City and neighboring villages, who were affected by the adverse impacts of the economic crisis and prolonged conflict.
The proposed actions include the rehabilitation and enhancement of the existing water well. Due to the outdated power engine and war-related damages, the community currently experiences significant disruptions in service availability, totaling three hours per week, which affects not only water access, but also increase health and protection hazards. Moreover, some children must walk long distances to fetch water, instead of attending school.
The planned work aims to restore the well functionality and ensure its minimal environmental impact (by installing solar panels and an energy-efficient submersible pump). In total, aid will reach 5080 people.
