MASTER OF HUMANITARIAN ACTIONback
NOHA seeks to increase the effectiveness and quality of humanitarian action through the provision of excellence and internationally recognised education, research and training. NOHA promotes intellectual debate and thinking on humanitarianism with a solid base on humanitarian, professional and human values.
The Master Programme in Humanitarian Action (HA) provides students with a broad education and training in the area of international humanitarian action, in which critical thinking and research skills are emphasised. Moreover, the interdisciplinary Master’s degree combines theoretical and analytical knowledge and skills with a more hands-on approach. Courses are taught by a combination of in-house experts and field-experienced guest lecturers.
The Programme was developed and is run jointly by the Faculty of Law & Administration and the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies (Institute of International Relations), in cooperation with partner universities associated in the Network on Humanitarian Action.
The graduates of the Programme are awarded a double degree: Magister in Humanitarian Action, issued by UW and a degree issued by the NOHA partner university (delivering second semester of the Programme).
